Accepting these terms

Installing an app, starting a trial or paying for a subscription means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install the software.

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you are subscribing for a studio rather than for yourself, you confirm you are allowed to commit that studio.

What your subscription lets you do

While your subscription is paid and current, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the apps you have paid for, on the terms set out on the pricing page and repeated here.

Computers

One on a monthly plan, two on a yearly or two-year plan, any mix of Mac and Windows. That holds for Leaflo, Tone, Cut and the FWDS Flow Bundle; FWDS Dock is sold by the year, so it runs on two. FWDS Pick does not count computers.

Active at once

All of them. On a two-computer plan, both may run it at the same time.

Users

One person. A licence is not shared between staff.

Moving a licence

Deactivate a device yourself, from inside the app. No support ticket needed.

Free trial

10 days on Pick, Tone, Leaflo and Cut, on one computer, with no card taken up front. FWDS Dock has no trial.

Your trained style profile is stored on the machine that trained it, inside the app’s own data folder. It does not travel with your login, and we do not hold a copy of it. Cancelling does not touch it: there is no storage fee, nothing for us to delete, and it is still there if you come back.

What you may not do with it

• Resell, rent, sub-licence, or run the apps as a service for other studios.
• Share one licence across more than one person, or across a team.
• Work around the licensing, the device limit, or the trial period.
• Reverse engineer, decompile or extract the trained models, except where Indian law expressly allows it and only to the extent it allows.
• Remove or alter our marks, notices or branding inside the software.
• Use the apps to process material you have no right to process.

Breaking these is the one thing that ends a subscription early. Everything else we would rather fix than enforce.

Subscriptions, billing and renewal

Subscriptions are sold monthly, yearly or for two years, at the prices shown on the pricing page. Prices are in Indian rupees and are billed from India. The number on the pricing page is the number that leaves your account: we do not add a card forex markup on top of a dollar sticker price.

Payments are taken through Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card number. Taxes are charged where they apply and shown at checkout.

Until 14 October 2026 you could also pay once for the same term and price, by UPI, card or net banking. A plan paid once does not renew: it runs for the term you paid for, starting when you paid or, if you already held that app, when that plan ended, and then it stops. Nothing more is charged. The refund rules are the same as for a subscription.

A subscription renews at the end of its term unless you cancel before the renewal date. If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect at your next renewal, and you can cancel instead of renewing.

Introducing another studio

If you hold the FWDS Flow Bundle on a yearly or two-year plan and, within 6 months of your own bundle payment, studios you introduce buy the bundle to the value of 6 points (1 point for a yearly plan, 2 for a two-year plan), we add 12 free months to the end of your bundle term.

Both sides must qualify

You must hold the bundle on a yearly or two-year plan, and each studio you introduce must buy the bundle on a yearly or two-year plan. Single apps and monthly plans earn nothing and count as nothing, on either side.

Who counts

A studio that has never held the bundle on a yearly or two-year plan. A trial, a monthly plan or a single app before does not disqualify them. A renewal does not count, and a studio counts once, for one introducer, ever.

The window

Their payments must clear within 6 months of your own bundle payment, counted to the day. A payment on the day the window closes does not count.

When it is earned

Not when the sixth point lands. In the 7th month after your payment we check that every studio counted still holds the bundle and that none of their payments was refunded. If all hold, the free year is added and your next charge is cancelled. If any was refunded or has lapsed, nothing is added.

It is time, not money

The free year has no cash value. It cannot be paid out, refunded or moved to someone else, and it is not a discount on a payment you have already made.

During the free year

You cannot earn another. When it ends and you pay for the bundle again, a new window opens.

It must be a different studio

You cannot introduce yourself, a second subscription of your own, or the same business under another name.

We may change or withdraw this offer for future introductions at any time, by changing the pricing page. A free year already added to your subscription is yours and will not be taken back.

Software you have to license separately

Some apps run inside software we do not sell and cannot supply. Licensing it is your responsibility, and a subscription with us does not include it.

Adobe Lightroom Classic.

FWDS Dock

Adobe Photoshop.

FWDS Cut

DaVinci Resolve Studio, licensed per machine. Each computer you run FWDS Cut on needs its own Resolve Studio licence.

If one of those companies changes its product in a way that breaks ours, we will fix ours as fast as we can, but we cannot promise a date and we do not refund for their change.

Your photographs, footage and albums

Your work stays yours. We claim no ownership of, and no licence over, the photographs, footage, albums or client material you put through these apps.

Most of the apps never send that material anywhere: Tone, Leaflo, Dock and Cut process it on your own machine. FWDS Pick is different, because its whole purpose is to show photographs to your couples on the web. What we hold for Pick, and on whose instructions, is set out in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for having the right to process what you upload, including the consent of the people in it.

Beta software

FWDS Cut is in beta and is described that way everywhere it is sold. It builds a first assembly and it is genuinely useful, but it is macOS only, and it has been trained on six weddings rather than six hundred.

Beta software is provided as it stands. It may change, and features may be added, reworked or withdrawn during the beta. It builds a brand-new timeline and never edits one you made, but you should still keep your own backups, as you would for any job.

What we promise not to do

If you buy a plan, it keeps working. We will never disable a feature you already paid for.

That is why there is no lifetime licence. Lifetime licences are where this industry breaks its promises: sell one, change the model, then switch a feature off in the version somebody already owns. We would rather charge a fair subscription and keep it working.

Support and availability

Support is by email, phone and WhatsApp, on the contacts at the foot of this page. We are a small studio, not a call centre, and we answer as people.

The apps run on your own machine, so they keep working when we are asleep. FWDS Pick depends on hosting, and we do not promise uninterrupted availability of the hosted parts. We will not deliberately take a paid feature away from you; that is the promise above.

Suspension and ending a subscription

You can cancel at any time. What happens to your access and your money is on the Refund and Cancellation page.

We may suspend or end a subscription if a payment fails and is not put right, or if the licence is being used in one of the ways listed above under what you may not do. Where the problem can be fixed, we will tell you and give you a chance to fix it first.

Liability

The apps are tools that assist your work, not a substitute for your judgement. They produce a first assembly, a first layout and a first edit, which you then review. You are responsible for what you deliver to your couples.

To the extent Indian law permits, our total liability to you for any claim connected with these terms or the apps is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, or lost or corrupted files, and we do not exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Keep your own backups. No software, ours included, is a backup policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you at the email on your account at least 14 days before it takes effect. Carrying on using the apps after that means you accept the change; if you do not, you can cancel.

The date at the top of this page is when it was last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Namakkal, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and we both agree to try to settle it by talking first.
